Booking Details:
My family ensured to welcome the new year 2019 with a new adventure at a place which we have never been to for us to collect exciting memories to reminisce someday. A week before 2018 came to a close, I booked Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa which is one of the  areas in Metro Manila where our family never really had a chance yet to explore.  I scored another promo deal from Agoda for two rooms, one night/two days stay for only 6000+ with buffet breakfast for four. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Alabang Town Center, one of the oldest Ayala-owned malls and it is also near Decathlon, the biggest store offering sports apparel and equipment.  It is a good place to explore and unwind with the kids.

Check-in and Stay:
Since it was really the first time that we went to Alabang, we had some challenge finding the hotel even if we had Waze 😁🚦🚘🚫. After a long two-hour drive from Rizal province, we reached Azumi Boutique Hotel in time before the two o'clock standard check-in time. The hotel has an onsite parking for guests, the guards and staff were generally friendly and helpful.  When we reached the front-desk,  I only presented the voucher with my ID then the staff checked my reservation, requested for incidental fee then asked me to wait at the lounge. Ten minutes later, we had our room key for one of the rooms but we needed to wait for the other room as I requested for adjacent rooms for my kids.  The room has a floor-to-ceiling windows with balcony. Room amenities such as wi-fi connection, tv, mini bar, ref, safety deposit box and toiletries were provided. The plush pillows,  soft beds and great smelling blankets guaranteed a comfortable and good night sleep for the family. ✨πŸŒ›πŸ˜

It was raining that night so we did not get the chance to walk around or even catch the light show at the Filinvest Festival City.  While looking for restaurants nearby, we found ourselves at the Alabang Town Center where we had our family dinner at Sizzlin' Steaks.   After eating, we spent some time at Decathlon to accompany J on his hunting spree for sports equipment he intended to bring for our mountain hike the following week, that will be J's treat for the family 😊.  Check out our feature article about our family's first ever Mountain hike.

When we get back to the hotel, the kids tried a dip at the saltwater infinity pool.  The pool is open until 10 PM and there is also a cavana lounge at the pool area where my husband and I spent some hours while watching over the kids.  The rainy weather made the night cooler but that did not stop the kids from swimming.  It was a nice view from the pool area overlooking the Metro, much like that of the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

The next day, we had our breakfast at the Romulo CafΓ© located at the ground floor of the hotel just beside the lobby.  The place has a limited seating capacity so expect that you will have to wait for your turn at the table. Lucky for us that we had our table before the cafΓ© got jampacked with guests.    The breakfast spread offered American and Filipino dishes.  It also has some selection of pasta, salad and kid's meal for those who opted for a light breakfast.

It was a sunny morning so we did not let the chance pass.  The family decided to explore the place with our early morning walk but it did not last for thirty minutes because the kids wanted to go back to the hotel for another round of swimming. Our family's stay at Azumi Boutique Hotel proved to be so worthwhile and memorable for the whole family.

Check Out:

I always instill in my kids to have the place as clean and organized as much as possible whenever we leave a hotel room.  That is to make them responsible and avoid leaving behind any gadget or valuable things which will prevent any hassles too.   We also informed the staff beforehand what we consumed at the pantry or restaurant to be charged to our incidental deposit so there will be no problem during checkout.  For this, an extra person charge for my little girl's breakfast was deducted from our deposit.  Thus, when we checked out, it was almost a breeze.
