My husband and I planned another family get-together for the summer vacation. Since both of us had busy work schedules and the kids were raring to go swimming, we decided to spend a long weekend at a nearby hotel. I searched through Agoda for hotels that offer amenities like swimming pool and the gym since the family needs to have some physical activity for health reasons.
Lucky to find another discount offer at the A. Venue Hotel in Makati. I picked this hotel also because of a good recommendation from a friend who used to stay in this hotel during Christmas season. I got two superior studio non-smoking rooms at least a week prior to our scheduled stay. When my sister-in-law learnt of our plans, she asked if her family could join us. Thus, she booked a room in the same hotel for her and her kids.
Check-in and Stay:
We had a two hour drive to Makati, us came from North while my sis-in-law from South. We just met there in time for the 2pm check-in. The hotel lobby was full-packed with guests, maybe because most people were into a long vacation mode. We had our room after almost twenty minutes at the check-in counter. When we finally got our keys to our room, we were glad to have our appointed rooms complete with clean queen-sized bed. There was a cable television to watch variety of tv programs and you can have your coffee/tea with the provided coffee maker. The toiletries that were included were bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, tissue and they also provide slippers as well as hair dryer.
We had a very relaxing stay at the A.Venue Hotel in such a way that the the room assigned to us were clean and orderly. The kids had a great time at the pool and the kids' play area.

The place is strictly non-smoking as they observe the city ordinance. There was a foreigner at the pool bar who was not allowed to smoke when he tried to. We also like the location as we were able to roam around the nearby business establishment like the malls, the great amenities especially the pool where the kids had a great time as well as the breakfast that was included in the accommodation. Parking space was also provided though the basement parking seem too cramp. We will definitely consider going back to this hotel and I will have no second thoughts recommending it to relatives and friends.
Checkout:
The checkout time took us almost twenty minutes. It was because there were many guests that time and also because we accommodated three rooms that took the hotel staff too much time to check on each room. 😊
