Booking Details:

It was Oppa C's birthday so even if we had a depressing start of month, I decided not to spoil his day by giving him a surprise birthday treat.  I just got out from the hospital and there was no way we can stroll around.  Our only option was to celebrate at home or have a staycation.  It would surely be a tiresome day to celebrate at home since we need to prepare food and everything so I searched for an affordable staycation in hotel booking sites.  As the day I was eyeing was already too near, the hotels I searched for were either fully booked or too costly.  I tried searching for accommodations at deals sites and I was lucky to find a Metrodeal offer for Hotel H2O with free lunch at Liquid Buffet and free pass to Yexel's Toy Museum at Manila Ocean Park (MOP).

I got the two vouchers for an Aqua Room at Hotel H2O for only 8000 (+) with free lunch for four adults and four free tickets to the museum.   After I got the Metrodeal vouchers, I immediately booked the two rooms through Indochina Strings online reservations as stated.  The only problem I had was the limited dates offered (as my intended date was only a few days away) so I settled for the available dates given on the site. But it was an easy booking process nonetheless.

Check-in and Stay:
To make sure that I would have no problem checking in, I called the hotel to confirm my booking earlier on the day of our stay. Although the standard check-in time was at 2PM, we arrived early at the venue around 1PM to avail of the free lunch at Liquid Buffet.  We had slight difficulty in redeeming the Liquid Buffet as we mistook the redemption booth right at the MOP entrance for which we were informed that we should redeem directly at Hotel H2O.  Upon instructions, we headed directly to the Hotel and lucky for us that hotel staffs were so cordial and accommodating.  I presented our Metrodeal vouchers then had the standard registration process at the front desk.  Since we cannot check-in yet, we were given our redemption slip for the free lunch and entrance to the museum.  We were then instructed to head to the reservations desk to exchange the slip for the entrance tags. We headed straight to Liquid Buffet for our late lunch.

After a satisfying meal at Liquid Buffet, we returned to Hotel H2O to complete our check-in. We were requested an incidental fee of PHP 4,000 for the two rooms.  I requested for adjacent rooms and since only one Aqua room was available at that time thus the staff informed us that they will just deliver the key once the other room is all made up. We had the other room after fifteen minutes.

The themed rooms provided to us were equipped with large bed-side aquariums.  It has plenty of salt-water type fishes.  My little girl was so amazed looking at this big fish container but one thing that she noticed in the room was the absence of window. 😁 “Why is there no window Mommy?” she asked, as she is too accustomed in floor to ceiling windows in other hotel rooms that we’ve been to.  I only answered her that there were no windows under the sea but only water, fishes and corals. =D Good thing that she never asked further hahaha…a posh room under the sea would be very tricky to explain.😊 But, if you wish a room with a view, they have the bay view and park view rooms also.

In our room, the provisions included were LCD television, private in-room safe, telephone, personal refrigerator with complimentary food/drinks. The bathroom has individually designed toiletries.  I especially liked the crisp and lush pillows and linens as well as its comfortable bed.  The room is adorned with artworks and very large aquarium that completed our very restful stay. The hotel has gym facility and jet pool that is free to be used by the guests.  Also, based on its fact sheet, the hotel was designed using the "Ecoparadise/antioxidants construction method" that made H2O Hotel a healthy and eco-friendly dwelling.

We only had a hard time finding nearby convenience store to buy quick snacks/drinks for demanding hungry kids.  My husband checked the jet pool but he did not like the very limited space so he and the kids refrained from swimming. We just spent the day watching on TV and surfing the net with the free wifi service. The next day, since our accommodation did not include free breakfast, we tried to find a fastfood joint.  The food stalls inside MOP were still close thus we had no other choice but to dine at the Hotel's Makan Makan Asian Food Village for a breakfast buffet.   As it was the only restaurant opened for breakfast, it was full of hotel guests. Even if my oppa was eyeing for a nice bay view, the tables at that corner were already occupied by other guests.  We were just glad that the restaurant staff ushered us to a free table (away from the view) that we did not need to be in the wait list.

Check Out:
Around 15 minutes before noon, we were all set for checkout.  I surrendered the key cards to the front desk staff and he computed all expenses charged to our room.   He returned the incidental deposit less the buffet breakfast fees charged to our room. We were given clearance to leave in as little as five minutes. 😊
