Booking Details:
Two days before the end of year when my sister in law sought my help to find a hotel near a mall for a two days/one night stay. I suggested those around Mall of Asia (MOA) so we can have convenient place to stroll around. As it was peak season, almost all the hotels near MOA were already fully-booked. We settled for Makati area nearby Glorietta or Greenbelt and we were sort of lucky to get Dusit Thani. We reserved four rooms and headed to Makati on that same day December 30.
Check-in and Stay:
After we had our lunch, we immediately headed to Dusit. While on our way, my sister in law called the hotel as we were almost late for the 2PM check-in time. We arrived there a quarter after 2PM. My sister informed the receptionist about our reservation while the rest of the family waited at the lobby. There were many visitors at that time and understandably it took us too long before we had our reserved rooms. They also requested for incidental fee which is refundable upon checkout. It was a good thing that they had the tall white Christmas tree display that our accompanying kids/toddlers fancied. It saved us some tantrum breakouts somehow. We did not have our requested adjoining or adjacent rooms but at least we were given rooms at the same floor. After almost thirty minutes, we were given our room keys and we headed to our assigned room.
The room smelled clean and when I checked the amenities, I was happy to see crisp clean and white towels/robes, there were two beds, one queen sized bed and another single bed that can accommodate maximum of three person. There was a cable television to watch variety of tv programs and you can have your coffee/tea with the provided coffee maker. There was also notepad and ballpoint pen should you need to take down notes which is very helpful for business travelers. The toiletries that were included were bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, tissue and they also provide slippers as well as hair dryer.
We had a very relaxing stay at Dusit Thani in such a way that we liked the the room assigned to us that was spic and span. We also like the location as we were able to roam around the Makati business district especially the malls, the great amenities especially the pool where the kids had a great time as well as the breakfast that was included in the accommodation. We will definitely consider going back to this hotel and I will have no second thoughts recommending it to relatives and friends.
Checkout:
The checkout time took us almost twenty minutes. It was because there were many guests that time and also because we accommodated four rooms that took the hotel staff too much time to check on each room. π
