Family Staycation at Hotel Jen Manila

The Story Behind the USS Pictures Part 3

The kids’ enthusiasm from what they saw at Water World did not fade that easily, judging from the way they exchanged their views about their fascination with how each event happened. Later on we stopped by at a nearby food kiosk to have some snacks while planning for our next ride. We wanted to try the Canopy Flyer but the one hour and thirty minutes waiting time made us think twice, and besides, my little daughter would again be excluded. As we were searching for other family-friendly ride, we saw a yellow vessel passing through a water channel. Curiosity led us to another intriguing attraction, the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure.

At the entrance the crew was undecided to let my little daughter in even if she measured exactly four feet, the minimum height required but eventually she was also permitted, that was because we assured the crew that she was all ready for this kind of ride . Although the waiting time was almost an hour, we prefer to have this than the Canopy Flyer because here we could ride together in one vessel that could accommodate nine people. The crew asked us if we wanted to leave our things inside the locker as we might get our things wet but we refused since we wanted to save time standing in line and we really came here prepared, as a matter of fact, we made sure to bring extra clothing and water-proof bags for our things. While waiting, we saw people who had just finished their thrilling ride heavily soaked from head to foot and we also saw people still in line all geared up as if for the rainy day. Yes, that was the inconvenient truth, the group might take an untimely bath right there at the rapids. We looked at each other as if wanting to back out but our innate aggressive attitude prevailed and so we found ourselves with three other companions, a boy and Korean couple all set for this ride.

The sight was a déjà vu in the Lost World movie and I remember the feeling on scenes that made me gasp for breath. There were different species of dinosaur along the way and their sounds all the more made the ride more rousing.

The fast current made our vessel bumped into rocks, thus creating splatter and we were all like rejoicing when none of us get wet. We thought we would finish without any one of us getting wet but as we went along, the water current became faster and the collision became harder that created bigger splash and as expected none of us was spared from getting soak. We have been to the Lost World and I seem to be lost for words to describe the best moment of this ride and we all missed one thing, that was to look up when the camera flashed thus we failed to have a good shot of our rapids adventure for our souvenir photo to bring home.
