The underwater world was the very first attraction that we visited in Sentosa on our second day in Singapore. We decided to have this first due to the heavy downpour that time so at least we will be safe from the rain inside the venue. We bought a ticket for SGD 20 each then went straight to our underwater world adventure. Upon entry, we were greeted with the little stingrays and baby sharks in open tanks where feeding, touching and playing with them is allowed. We passed through vats of crustaceans, fishes and sponges of different colors and sizes and took photos with these living beings in almost every angle (flash photography is not allowed though). When we reached the 83 M long tunnel my kids became even more surprised when they saw those huge sea creatures. One can move through the tunnel using the moving walkway and you can pass through it again and again to your heart’s delight. It seemed like being in another world and it was really wonderful to see all those creatures up-close without having to dive through deep water. The most revealing thing that my family gained from that experience is the knowledge that it imparted with my kids especially when they learned that we are sharing this world not only with fellow humans but with every animals that we don’t even get to see every day. Being there made us nurture the importance of co-existence and the strong desire to do something better to save our one and only EARTH not only for ourselves but also for those humble beings.
